Nothing can replace real art.

Specializing in children’s paintings and illustrations, I accept custom orders to create the perfect gift for your child/friend/relative. Have a specific nursery theme for baby? I can paint pictures that go along with that theme. Is your child a pony fanatic? I’ll create something that will spark their imagination.

My paintings aren’t only for kids. If you like my style, tell me what you want and I’ll do my best to make it happen.

It is my goal to provide you with artwork that makes you smile. The unique thing about my services is that you get to decide what you want. You will be provided with a sketch or two as the process goes along. You choose everything from the artwork’s subject to the season to the time of day.

Acrylic is my absolute favorite medium to work with, but I also have loads of fun with digital (and of course digital is handy because there are no material and shipping fees!) Plus you’ll get the file delivered directly to your computer in the best definition possible and have the flexibility to do with it as you wish.

Just fill out the custom order form and I’ll get to work.

Here I’ve provided examples of my artwork, both digital and acrylic. These images are to be enjoyed, but not used. You can share them if you like, but please return and direct all credit back to me, thank you!

The fun part about all of these paintings and illustrations is that they each have a story. Not a single one of them is in my possession anymore (well, except for the digital ones of course). These were all given as gifts to various family members and friends.

Material Fee

With any and all custom acrylic orders, there will be a materials fee to help cover the costs of materials (canvas, paint, etc.) This cost is between $5 and $15, depending on the size and type of canvas.

Digital orders have no material fee.

Hourly Rate

I work based on an hourly rate of $7.50 an hour. Of course this means bigger paintings cost more and so do paintings with more detail.

Most 9 x 12″ paintings take an average of 6 hours to complete. 6 x 7.5 = 45 + 5 = $50

Another example: This recently completed acrylic painting of an owl on a 9.5 x 11.5″ canvas took four hours to complete from start to finish. 4 x 7.5 = 30 + 5 = $35

Style also makes a difference. This painting of a fox in a very simple baby-like style also on a 9.5 x 11.5″ canvas took two and a half hours to complete. 2.5 x 7.5 = 18.75 + 5 = $23.75

Shipping & Handling

All items will be shipped worldwide from Germany. Shipping costs will vary depending on where you reside and how big the canvas is. I ship using Deutsche Post (US Postal Service takes over once in the US) unless there is a different request (DHL, UPS). But really, Deutsche Post is my preferred carrier and their shipping rates are decent.

I will post a more comprehensive list of shipping costs once I have that information.

Digital orders have no shipping costs.

I accept payments via PayPal or personal checks made out to Carrie Finke. I will send a request for payment when the order is so far.

Do you see something here that you absolutely love and must have? No worries! I’m working on developing a way that I can provide high-quality prints of the paintings you love most. If you’re interested in seeing this happening, keeping bugging me about it.

Note: There will be NO PRINTS of commissioned or otherwise customized artwork. Custom orders belong to the customer and to the customer alone.

If you’ve received artwork from me, please help me out by leaving a review. I’m also open for to helpful and constructive feedback. With your permission, I would love to publish those reviews on this website. I would also like to include a small image of what I did for you with a watermark. If you’d prefer I didn’t, just let me know.
